Paintball Park's Sponsorship Program offers the best value available to novice and amateur level players.
Other "sponsorships" are usually just discounts on merchandise.

MPL sponsorship saves you REAL money!

Read below to learn more.

MPL is providing sponsorship for some local teams in 2006. Prospective MPL members must submit an application for 2006.

New applicants to the MPL division for the 2006 season will be assigned to squads where they are needed. Players will NOT be able to choose which squad they will play for. Existing MPL teams may stay as a team*. (*Must be approved) Through this assignment process we will build equal and compatible teams.

Eight  tourneys are scheduled for 2006 on the second SATURDAY of the month (dates may be subject to change). Game officiating will follow the
standardized set of rules. Each player (limit 5) on the top four teams in each division will receive trophies at the end of each event.

A member of MPL should positively represent the sport and Paintball Park. Moral standards will be regarded as a high priority of its members. Members must obey Park rules, play by league rules, and display good sportsmanship. As sponsors, Paintball Park retains the right to remove players from the league that do not comply.

Applications must be completed (signed by a parent if under 16) and turned in with a $50 deposit. The deposit is non-refundable during the season. If a players quits or is ejected from the team, you will FORFEIT this deposit. Only those members completing the season in good standing will be refunded the deposit on January 5, 2007.

Players that made a deposit last year are exempt from having to make another deposit.

Park admission and refills for air tanks are provided at no cost to MPL members. Each team will have its own jersey, which players must purchase (at a discount). One of the main benefits is members can purchase practice paintballs at any time at a substantial discount.

Practice paintballs cannot be resold, redistributed, or shared with anyone other than the member to whom they were sold. The penalty for distributing practice paint to non-MPL members is immediate expulsion from the League.

Tourneys are $125 per event payable day of event ($25 discount if paid one week in advance). Signup forms are online.

Practicing is essential to your improvement and just like any other sport you will be required to attend one practice per month. Failure to not attend practices may result in your expulsion from the team. The 4th Saturday of each month beginning in March and ending in October will be the set practice day for all MPL members.

Rosters for novice MPL teams will be limited to seven players to increase the likelihood that you and all your team members will get plenty of play time.

ALL players on the roster will get to play in tournaments.

For novice MPL teams, only players on the roster may represent their team on tourney day. Substitutes may NOT be brought in. In the unlikely event that your team of seven is unable to put together at least five players for a tourney, there are two options; 1) play short, or 2) sit out.

Players on novice MPL teams may NOT switch within the league from one team to another. If you you are not satisfied with your team, you can stick it out and try to help them improve, or quit.
Under extenuating and unforeseen circumstances that make it desirable for a player to move from one team to another, the team(s) may petition me directly. If possible a mutually beneficial arrangement might be made, such as a consensual trade.

All six squads of Team Fault Line and Team Quake are considered MPL class. Players in MPL class have never been a member of any Amateur, Open, NPPL, or pro team. Nor have you ever been on a Novice or Rookie team that placed in the top two of any tournament series / OR that has regularly scored in the top two places at tournaments within a series.
You must have less than two years experience playing tournament paintball outside the MPL, and are a relatively new or inexperienced paintball player, by any measure.

Each member is REQUIRED to practice regularly. This is to ensure that everyone is contributing to the greater benefit of their team. If you miss three practices in a row, then your spot may be offered up. However, extenuating circumstances (illness, death in family, etc.) would first be considered.

Each team is expected to play in all MPL tourneys. Again, extenuating circumstances will be considered if a team misses. In the event a team misses two or more tourneys, the roster may be dissolved or some players may be replaced.

Each team has a captain, who I will approve. Usually I will go with seniority, preferably a team Dad. Team captains will help to organize their teams for practices and help to ensure important matters such as equal participation.

Members may not be ejected from their team by captains or other members. Captains with grievances should call them to my attention. I will try to find an alternative before ejecting a player from the MPL. Expulsion is a last resort.

The bylaws are built to provide you with a structured sport. Nowhere else that we know of is there any similar opportunity being offered. There are several conditions built in to MPL sponsorship that don't exist in unorganized paintball. A moderate level of commitment is needed, and this should be recognized before submitting application. In return, you will enjoy a great sponsorship that players in other locales do not enjoy, as well as what may be the best entry-level competitive format of paintball found anywhere. If conditions arise wherein you cannot meet these requirements, then you must step be willing to step aside and allow new players to fill your positions.
